Being physically linked by Greenwich Park, the park rolls up from our office and opens out onto the vast expanse of Blackheath. The green space is what makes the combination of Greenwich and Blackheath so special, together with its proximity to Central London.
We have worked in the area since 1996, and have extensive dealings with both Greenwich and Lewisham local authorities.

Blackheath Park SE3
The entire refurbishment and extension of an Eric Lyons designed Span house.
A “Span House” was derived from the intention ‘to span the gap between the suburban monotony of the typical speculative development and the architecturally designed, individually built residence that has become (for all but a few) financially unattainable’. Lyons was seeking to bring modern architecture to middle class, middle income people, at a time when in Britain at least, modern architecture was either for large council estates or one-off houses for the very wealthy.
Our project retained the important original features such as the open plan interior, large windows, flat roofs, brick facade, tile-hung walls and timber panelling.
The original vision aimed to create the right conditions and environment that would make the estates attractive to prospective buyers and enjoyable places to live. We ensured that vision was not at risk by utilising reclaimed flooring, an open softwood staircase and an equally open double height first floor that introduced such technical detailing and specifications that brought the house into the 21st Century.
Rangers Square SE10
The entire refurbishment of an Andrews, Emmerson, Sherlock & Keable designed terraced house, originally built in1969-70.
This is a small housing community made up of 33 terraced homes. Internally the homes are a mere 3.2m wide and 9m long. They represent modern, efficient, open plan living, and the square has remained a very popular community to both the rental and homeowner sectors.
Made up of 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, they all have vaulted roof spaces with rooflights that allow an abundance of natural light. They sit on high ground and afford views over to Canary Wharf.
This project’s challenge was a full strip back and “start again” refurbishment to achieve an extra bedroom, an ensuite bathroom, and loft storage, whilst maintaining and respecting the design charm of the original concept.
